Where we stay.

Overnight Accommodations

Gzowski College 

Overnight campers stay at Trent University’s Peter Gzowski residence, surrounded by stunning natural scenery. As the newest residence building on campus, the rooms are well maintained, clean, comfortable, air conditioned, and offers free wifi.

Residence Rooms

Each camper is housed in his or her own room with a full closet, nightstand, desk and double bed. Between each set of adjoining rooms are bathrooms with single showers for their occupants. Bed linens, pillows, and towels are provided by Conference Services. 

Common Space

Between activities, campers are encouraged to socialize with fellow campers and counselors on their floor's common room. This space is equipped with couches, a television, fridge, and down time activities provided by the counselors.

Forensic Camp Staff

Present.

Forensic camp counselors are students of Trent University who are in enrolled the forensic science program or have completed the program and are now graduate students at the university. Check our this year's camp staff!
Note: this list is not updated, but will be once 2019 staff are confirmed.

Dr. Christopher Kyle
Camp Director

Dr. Kyle started camp in '03, and  currently heads Trent's Forensic Science Undergraduate Program. His research focuses on molecular epidemiology, conservation genetics, and forensic entomology.

Sumiko Polacco
Camp Coordinator 

Sumiko completed B.Sc. in Forensics at Trent in 2016. She recently completed her M.Sc. focusing on bloodstain pattern analysis and forensic chemistry. She is currently an instructor with the forensic science department. She has been with us since Summer 2016. Welcome back Sumiko!

Erin Prewer
Camp Coordinator

​Erin completed B.Sc. in Forensics at Trent in 2015, and is now a Ph.D. Candidate studying Muskox Genomics for forensic Wildlife Conservation. She has been with us since Summer 2016. ​Welcome back Erin!

Cassie DeFrancesco
​Camp Counselor

Cassie completed her B.Sc. in Forensics at Trent in 2016, and is now a M.Sc. Candidate studying aquatic chemistry in the arctic. Shes been there twice! She has been with us since Summer 2015. Welcome back Cassie!
